Electronic Data Imaging
Information has always been a powerful tool, but never more so than today.
Document imaging moves information management from paper to digital
technology. It converts paper documents into electronic images on a computer
that can be retrieved effortlessly in seconds. Our clients can use this
technology in several ways to assist them in improving information management
and reducing document handling and processing costs.

Thousands of organizations around the world use document imaging every day
instead of paper filing systems. We can perform this service and image your
current working files to CDs. The CDs can be loaded into a desktop and the
files and documents accessed or transported to other workstations or
locations via E-mail, fax, the Web or down loaded as print copy. Many
benefits are derived from this conversion. The conversion can:
- save storage space,
- prevent lost records,
- make managing documents easier,
- help find documents faster,
- make images centrally available and
- eliminate the need for file cabinets.
The dollar savings derived from these benefits quickly exceeds the cost of
the original investment.
We can also transport individual documents or files via the Web. The
client can access and down load the documents and files in several formats.
Our customers can use this process to transmit and access information on an
emergency basis or to export documents and files rather than boxes on an on
going basis. This service would especially benefit hospitals, law firms and
financial institutions. Since this information is stored on our server and is
controlled by our web link software, all security afforded by our web server
and Total Recall software applies. The cost of the scanning and imaging would
be more than offset by a savings in file access and file delivery costs
For large digital image volumes Millennium has partnered with Image
Fortress and its Digital Fortress - software to provide unlimited access and
search capability on the internet at a reasonable price.

In those instances where clients need their hard copy records stored on
CDs rather than in a cardboard container in a regular warehouse environment,
we offer bulk scanning and imaging to CDs. The client retains a copy of the
CD and can access and transport the information as needed. The hard copy
could be destroyed and a back up copy of the CD stored in our
Firelock Vault.
